Dacie Update

Babies grow so much the first year--I just have to post what Dacie is doing for posterity's sake! I found these sandals/shoes for 4 dollars and could not pass them up, it is spring-like weather around here and I know they will be put good use in the summer! So, I had her try them on and I LOVED it! Her newest thing to do is this: When someone says hello or hi she puts her hand to her ear like she is talking on the phone and says hello the best way she can, it sounds something like "hiyoo".
Dacie's hair has started taking off these last couple of weeks! Check out the back, I think I see some curls!! I sprunched it all up in back on Sunday and was in HEAVEN!! But, it did not last long. I have to find a product that will last!
She is standing on her own now, and will go into standing postition from sitting, all on her own as well. She will also push around our little push toy, and walk around the house with no help from any of us. She loves to stand and get her brothers to cheer as she claps and claps!
She is also giving the sweetest open-mouthed kisses upon request, or if she is being silly and playing with you. She has started flirting with Dan and I LoVe watching it! Oh-how I love her!

Two things I have come to love/rely on with two little girls: REALLY hot curling irons (gold chrome bought at beauty supply stores) and Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. The curling irons curl are hot and curl super fast (good for short attention span children) and the curl stays in all day. Supplementary to that is the best holding product ever invented - Freeze and Shine. It is a staple product in our home (why bother doing their hair if it won't stay?). I suggest becoming really good friends with a hairdresser and buying it in the gallon size and simply refilling your hairspray bottle as needed. It lasts us forever (and we have 3 women in the home!). Hope these tips help!

i love Dacie! She is so stinkin cute! i can't wait to see her when i come down for Easter.
BTW, my friend posted this on her blog and i thought you would be interested in it. You can put your blog into a book and its not too pricey, either. I thought since you use this as your journal it would be perfect.

Dacie is a cutie!

I can't wait until Isabel has enough hair to do something with it! It's just now getting long enough that it barely touches below her neck. Dallin had countless haircuts by this time! Isabel, poor thing, has my genes. I was bald and toothless to nearly 2; my mom says she kept threatening to buy me a wig and false teeth. Isabel has just enough hair to slip a little tiny clip into, but not enough to style. I'll have to keep the curling iron and freeze and shine tips in mind for later!

I'm also going to have to check out the blog book idea!
