March also starts off with one of the kids favorite days...

Dr. Seuss's birthday--READ across America Day!

The kids wear the pj's to school, grab a favorite blanket or animal

and

plead for me to go to breakfast with them (so they can get a prize)

while they eat green eggs and ham and watch a Dr. Seuss movie

while the ones at home always feel a bit neglected in the festivities

WELL...

the last few years playgroup has pulled through for them
and we have our own little playgroup celebration

My favorite "Martha Stewart" friend Cami was in charge of this one, so I knew we would not want to miss it.

They had a good story or two read to them, while they made their Dr. Seuss Hats
We had a WHO FEAST!
with much better green eggs and ham then at the school

Then it was off for a FUN game of catching Thing ONE and Thing TWO...if you wore the red vest (that was cutely decorated) everyone chased you!
