Even though it is ONLY 2 miles and is a "fun run", I really want to run a majority of it.
I have NEVER been a RUNNER (even in my prime)
I have been running 2 miles on my elliptical... BUT
--my first day on the trail,
I YACKED a 1/2 mile into it!
I ran 2 miles pregnant with Ryland-- no problem!!
I thought I could just pick up where I left off--
WRONG, old Lady!
I am in trouble...BUT I AM GOING TO DO IT.
I am at one mile of running now--(only 1 more to go in 2 weeks)
AAAAHHH! What was I thinking?
AND who talked me into this,
and is my poor partner who has to tag-along at a chubby girls pace?....

That's awesome! I'm trying to be better about using my elliptical more than twice a week. Btw, I'm not sure how much you can really rely on the stats on exercise machines. I DO know that I need to push myself more than I am right now! Wish I could go jogging with you!
BTW, Sarah's coming down around august or so. I'll figure out a get together!
You go, girl! You CAN do it and after you do you will feel that much more empowered to do it again and go a little farther. I wish I lived closer and could come and do it with you...seriously!
I was going to come up and run the half marathon, but Bryan has some conflicts that weekend. Good luck - wish I could be there!
That's great Alicia! I have never been a runner and I can't even go 1/2 a mile without gasping for air!! Power to ya girl!

Alicia! YOu can totally do it. I am not a runner either. Even if you don't want to run a marathon - I LOVED the book that I read to help me train. It was both physical and mental training. It even has a "pre" training schedule that helps you build up to running for 30 min.

Oh how fun! I've always wanted to do something like that. I wish I would have known. I would have registered too and invited myself to run with two of the coolest girls I know. . . you and Julie H. :)
