WELCOME 2008!!!!! The kids cannot quite understand why we decorate so much for Christmas BUT do not have much for New Years-so the kids and I made some decor before our friends arrived!
Our friends, the Hoggards, came over w/their 3 kids to help us welcome in the new year. Here are the kids (minus the 2 sleeping babies) in the front porch swing watching the firework display our (tipsy but super kind) neighbor put on for them across the street. It was so cute to see how excited they would get when he would throw these little lights up in the air, or one popper. They would yell "Happy New Year" after each one!
of course, what would a New Years celebration be without a game of Settlers for the mom's and dad's, that I WON!!! Its going to be a GoOd YeAr I can tell!!

So, the funniest thing just happened. I was just viewing your blog and ironically reading about our similar New Years celebrations when an alert popped up that I had a new email. Lo and behold it was you! What is the chance of that?
I love reading your blog. You have such a sweet family and I know you are a fabulous mother. Though it has its challenges, there IS no greater calling, that is for sure.
I hope 2008 brings even more joy and opportunities for happiness and self-discovery for you and yours. God Bless, Sister!
Happy new year! Looks like the kids had a blast!
It was so fun catching up with what you all have been up to lately! I love reading your honest day happenings and can relate to the fighting siblings as you well are aware since you have read my blog :)
Nhaya wanted to know all about Colton when she saw the picture of him with the moustache. She was very happy to know that he is her same age...hmmmm
oh you guys always know how to have fun! I bet the 3 & 4 year olds in your group stayed up later than us 30+ year olds over here!
Alecia and Dan- remember me? I found you through the Kidds after Natalie found me though who knows who. So fun to see you guys as a full fledged family. I've wondered what ever happened to the two of you since the New years we all spent together in 1999 or 98??
